Beam

I have seen this helicopter first hand and as much as everyone is not going to believe me it has the Trex 450 V2 beat in about everything, no joke....Jim

This is our setup.

The lack of tail drive gear makes this bird very quiet.

I saw one advertized in a Korean online shop for 330,000won that would be aroud $350US. It does not include motor or ESC for this price.

There are no US distributors at the moment.

Mega Motors USA is going to be bringing them in for distribution (I'll PM Kody so he can comment further). I really like the heli and am thinking of picking one up as well.

Gorn:

Here is the maiden flight. There isn't much to see as everything was subdued for the first flight.

Only thing that we are not crazy about the is quality of the canopy. They told me that procuring a good FRP canopy vendor is tough at the moment. They might produce a blow molded plastic canopy.

Hopefully Justin will spend more time with 450 sized birds to get comfotable to throw them aroud.

We will be flying only Extreme 450 from Thunder Power during IRCHA so you will not see this bird at IRCHA.

Hey, I saw this machine at 3D Masters and it looks quite neat. On close inspection, it appears to be manufactured well, with the quality parts just where they are needed. It will be interesting to see how it fairs.

I'd say they are the same. I saw one being touted in one booth and then several others at the MA booth at IRCHA. They do look like a very well built heli. The machining looks very nice and MA was quoting "about $300" less motor and ESC. If it flies as well as an SE, Align is going to have to lower their SE price to compete with it. The only thing I noticed that didn't look too good was the tail box had to be distorted quite a bit to clamp onto the boom, but that would be a minor program or tool change during machining. The ones at MA had heavy, but decent looking glass canopies.

No, none that I saw were geared up. One in the MA booth may have had servos but it wasn't flight ready.
