| I not sure what procedures you use to mount your RX and Reg, but I have been using this Pipe insulation foam for about two years now, and have never lost a heli, either 72 MHz or 2.4Ghz to a lockout nor have I had a regulator failure.
1. Make sure that your RX and Regulator and Battery are not contacting the airframe.
2. I don't mount Gyros,Reg or RX any were near digital servos. Some people will disagree with me, but the five years I spent with Predator(UAV), all avionics or "black Boxes" were shock mounted and Isolated from each other. Almost every Trex 600n I have seen, has the gyro mounted on top of the servos, I wont be doing this.

You can get the stuff at Home Depot. I do not use it to mount the gyro head, just the 601 amp. I just mounted the 2 in 1 regulator, cool little unit, however, I am concerned about the rather frail looking switch, and Small gauge wire. All the more reason to shock mount everything.
At least this way you know that when you crash, it was your thumbs!
Good luck, sorry to hear about the crash.
