Align T-REX 600N 700N > Ok, so how do I slow down the tail...

I have about a dozen flights on my 600, and am trying to get used to this heli. I have been flying my Raptor 50 with no issues, but the 600 is really making me nervous!
Compared to the Raptor, the 600 is alot faster and I am having a hard time feeling comfortable with it. On the Raptor, I am well into forward flight, hover in all orientations, some inverted hovering, and rolls. The 600 appears to me to have a smaller footprint in the sky and reacts RIGHT NOW. I dialed down the throws on aileron and elevator but am unsure what I can do to dial down the tail. I am running the 401/9254 combo with a Hyper 50 with a DX7.
Overall, I am impressed with the Align, but I am not enjoying my flying time with it. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can tame it down? Maybe move out a hole on the rudder servo? I am running the gray dampers as well. Any advice would be appreciative as I will not let this bird get the best of me!

Also, how many degrees of pitch do I need in the tail blades? I assume they should be pitched towads the tail slider?

Yep lower ATV's and also add in about 30% rudder expo as well. That will make it softer around centre.

Rob if your finding it a bit of a handfull drop the headspeed a bit and lower your overall pitch to match the lower headspeed. That will help no end..also as others have suggested above.

No. Perfectly centered.

No, trimmed mechanically in rate mode for no yaw...

Thanks for all of the replies. I dropped the rudder travel value down to around 75% and that really tamed it down. I tried the 30% expo and it was way too numb. I took out the expo and it is a lot more to my liking. While I was at it, I made sure the TB were at 0 degrees and everything looks good. It has made a big difference...
Thanks for all of the help. I feel a whole lot more comfortable with it now. Before I felt like I was starting over again after the Rappy!

Zero degrees? What is that going to achieve? In HH the 401 is going to move the tail blades wherever they need to be to hold the tail steady.

You need to mechanically set the tail for no yaw in rate mode.

When the tail is at center it is never at zero degrees , center point needs to have some pitch to counter act the blade torque.

The best way to find center, is to put the gyro in normal mode and adjust the limit point on the 401 so its nearly touching /bottoming at both sides , if it bottoms on one side first then your rod needs adjusting.
