I remember I had a bad one way one one of my ZXX's long ago, heres what I did, I took it off ans staired at it for awhile. Soon I started to see spots.. So I concurred that the spots were... Grimlins. Only ever thought plane had them, but now I kno helis have them too
But dont let the heli get you down there Puffy.. Do what I do.. Find a nice spot on one of your walls preferably in a high traffic area like family room, dinning room, etc.. and vertically mount it there and come back to it laters. Servers 2 perposes.. One as functional art, just find a big enough frame to stick around it (that way you dont feel bad about spending so much $$ on it). And second it will give you time to do other things (namely cool off) and come back to it laters. Or atleast until you get the parts for it in the mail. Yep best way to brighten up any room.. Mount a heli in it Be at peace with your heli when you work on it, does no good to be madd.. Just makes things worse. Remember your heli is a friend, treat it like one. Cheer up man, soon you will get that heli taring holes in sky!!!!

I bought the 50 and it flies about the same as an air hog . The clutch bell isn't machined properly , you can see it's out of round . No need for a indicator on that one . The canopy stand holes are punched about 3/8 of and inch off , therefore making the canopy not fit . And the thing that bothers me the most ..... when you spool the hyper 50 up on the gov this thing shakes so violently it looks like it's gonna toss lunch everywhere . So i'm pulling my new components out of it and getting a Trex 600 Nitro . It'll look better beside my other two rex's anyhow . I'm not here to bad mouth gohbee in no way but the quality of the stinger does'nt meet my expectations by no means . I still toss my old concept 30 thru the air and feel more confident with it . Anyway you guys know the old saying ......you get what you pay for !!!!!!!!!

What about it makes it fly so poorly? It sounds to me like you have something out of balance?

Mine really flies smoothly and for the price does its job great!

I've got two stinger 50's and don't have any of the issues you guys are talking about. If you haven't talked to David and let him know about these issues, he can't fix what he doesn't know about.

As ddierking said, give David a call. He has a very good reputation to make things right.

Are you flying it with the untrue clutch bell?

Once it gets up to speed does it smooth out?

Why does everyone always single out a single manufacturer?? You buy a TT, Horobo, JR or any other given heli and you are not 100% assured that it will be grand. This topic was about the 90 Gohbee, not 50. I have my Gohbee 30 and it flys great. I have had more problems with my TT's then this Gohbee by far. But thats neither here nor there.

But as for krashtagain any vibration issue is a result of improper balance or something is loose. I was pulling my hair out with my 1st TT till I went and bought a dial indecator. And every heli I have since is spot on. I am sure lots here can agree on this. Blades, lubed dampners, slight bend in spindle.. List can go on on what to look for in a vibration issue. Just a thought. Not trying to talk you down or your knowledge in Helis.

If you all need a new topic on 50's start a new thread, and leave this one as 90.

Cheers all..

The main gear stripped in mid-air
When I received my Gohbee 90 about 4 months ago there was an extra package and note attached with a new main gear. It advised to replace the existing pre-installed gear before use.

So far, no other issues besides the clutch bearing. Hovers steady hands off. Tail is solid. Nothing loose, nothing vibrating.

I took my time and followed the instructions to a T. I double checked the balance of a few things. Stock fiberglass blades were 7/10's of a gram off. The only adjustment was a ball link one half turn to track the blades.

Gohbee is being singled out because their quality is not up to par. I have owned 2 of their machines, I still have a Stinger 50. I have owned all brands except for JR and QWW and I can say without question Gohbee is the worst. Problems include stripped gears, one way failures (clutch and auto hub. When you order replacement parts they may or may not fit. The ball links are an odd size. It's not worth it, the money you save on the kit will be spent fixing QC problems. The 50 flies great out of the box, but it does not last! The problems are real, you reps are either in denial or just want to be "reps" regardless of the quality of the product.

Hey Brandon....

Your childish attempt at character assassination of the Gohbee reps
speaks far more about your character than it does their's.

Thanks for making only one contribution,

Ty

TY,
I've been in this hobby long enough (7 years), had enough helis, and burned enough fuel (12 cases last year), to know what I'm talking about. I stand by my statements about the machine. My apologies to all Gohbee reps.
