start leaning it out now but only one click at a time and try it. the ys is very needle sensitive, one click to many clicks can be to lean the ys like to be run a tad richer.

leave rexmax the same for now once you get the motor in its sweet spot check it again, it may or may not change a little bit but not a whole lot

also dont run more then 12-13deg of pitch and 9.5 deg cyclics you dont need to run more then that with this heli, get motor peaked out for hp and then hold on tight....

Yes Shawn, you will have to set it,you will have to redial in the head speed after breakin.Once you do it,set it and forget it.I have been running these for awhile and love the ease of setup.

Nice flying Shawn! First it was Nick than Tom now you I have to pick up my game and fly more to keep up with you guys Well anyways I have been burning some fuel practicing for the next funfly I think I have a record since I have been flying. I put like 20 or so flights since my last crash and my heli is still in one piece Plus I put in 3 more awsome flights today. I can't believe it! I'm not even gonna tweak my heli till I crash lol.

Must have more POWER!

Shawn,

Like Inky said, adjust the needles 1-2 clicks at a time and no more. Once you find the sweet spot on the high speed needle, then adjust the mid needle, and finally your low end. You want the high speed set for max power while still maintaining a good temp (about 200 F). The mid range should give you excellent power through hard collective maneuvers like tic tocs, piro flips, etc. Then you want the low speed to have a smooth transition from idle without any hesitation.

Once you get the needles set, you will most likely have to tweak the Revmax just a little. Since you leaned the engine, the headspeed will increase, therefore you will have to lower the gain in the radio for the Revmax. You should be able to get it very close by sound and feel. Since we set it around 1900 rpm, make a mental note on how the heli feels now before you start adjusting the needles and the Revmax.

Give me a call if you need help.

Thanks that kinda what i figured. It is hard being by myself in my area flying helis and doing this on my own. Hey gary, remember my pitch guage thing i made... Well I got one of my freinds that bought him a raptor 60 and he is gona try and fly it sunday with me. i really like having runryder because without it, well i would still be flying my first 90 i guess come to think of it. Oh well, it has its good and bad points. good is I've learned so much in a little bit of time and made life-long freinds whom i never would of met without R.R.

Thanks guys for all your support

Glad that I could help you out buddy. I too have made many friends since I started this hobby. Without their help and guidance, I would still be flying the Raptor 50.

There is nothing wrong with a Raptor 50. It can do anything that your xtreme 50 can do but there is one thing the xtreme 50 cant do that the raptor 50 can do and the cost is about 200.00 cheaper on a crash lol just messin with ya bud. I love my xtreme 50, also it is an awsome machine.
