| Hi, the main issue I found with the MS-044 13g (~7g lightened?) which would effect 3D moves is the uneven piro rate that tends to speed up and slow down at high rotation rates. Without a consistent rotation I would imagine pulling piro/chaos flips a bit of a problem. Otherwise for general flight the gyro is a reasonable alternative if you don't require digital servo support. To get a faster piro rate at high HH gain settings I ran a 'V' curve to lower the gain on rudder stick input (more here).
The 27g(~19g lightened) 401 is very heavy for a micro of this size and will impact agility, power and flight time. The recent alternative is the Logictech 2100t 10g (~6g lightened) but I've yet to completely tune and dial my tail in yet, although that setup is not a stock X-3D (610mm rotor). Even then I won't be pulling piro flips anytime soon (from lack of pilot ability ). You might take a look at the CSM range 420e and 560 PC link programmable (many options). |
