I am after a little help, I am looking at dropping an OS 70 and muscle pipe II into my vigor but would like a little info on the gear ratio. Does anyone have experience of this combination, is it sensible to move from the standard 9.33 down to the 8.4 ratio? I do not want to bog down the engine at 8.4 or scream the head off with a 9.33 ratio. I am running NHP 710 Razors and a shortened metal head yoke from Ricks!

Anyone with experience of this setup? Any advice would be appreciated!!

vigor /os 70

hi i bought a vigor with an os 70 fitted and a zimmerman tuned muffler
a while ago . It has the standard gear ratio to match the os61sx wc
this ratio works fine with tg tapered symetrical (690mm).im running
30% coolpower and with these blades it has great power and a great turn of speed plus it doesnt load up like the 60 sx wc

i hope this is of some use and im sure youll be pleased with this
engine as it has good power and unlike the os 91 i tried, is smooth
and delivers this power over more rpm unlike the 91 which felt
very torquey to me

I have a Vigor with a OS70 and MP2 combo. I did not have to change the stock gear ratio (9.33) at all. It ran fine without over speeding or bogging. I'm extremely happy with the set up. I'd keep the stock gearing if I were you.

OS 70 MP2

The OS 70 was designed to be a direct 60 replacement, not requiring a gear change and with 9.3 gearing that has been my experience in my Vigor. However I don't have the MP2 on it yet and in a few instances I've overspeeded the disk. MP's are known to have a somewhat governing effect so you should have the winning combo. I'm sure gonna try one this spring.
