Align T-REX 600N 700N > 611/9256 not working with Align stepdown

I picked up the Align regulator setup w/ glow ignitor and a stepdown for my 9256. Problem is the servo will not work with the stepdown in place. I'm running the stepdown between the servo and gyro amp but the servo will not function. I'v tried 2 different step downs with the same results. I've also tried putting the stepdown between the amp and the RX with the same result. If I remove the stepdown and run the servo directly into the amp it works. Any one else running this successfully?

I also tried the stepdowns between the governor and 9253 and they work.

I have both Align diodes and stepdowns that I made myself and all work fine.

Are you sure you didnt plug the servo lead in reversed ?The align is not indexed like the futaba connector. If you did its possible you damaged the servo.

I made sure the wires lined up. Black to black, white to white, and red to red. The servo works without the stepdown in place. As soon as I plug it in it no longer works.

the diode maybe backwards they only work oneway

plug it into the amp and check it with a volt meter and see if voltage comes out of the red wire. if not its backwards

If your matching up the wires coming out of the amp, then that is incorrect. The black or neg is on the bottom and the signal or white is on the top or closer to the screen when you plug the stepdown in. If this is how you did it then its possible you have a bad stepdown (diode is reversed).

The plug on the stepdown is indexed and can not be reversed.

gotta check it, if no voltage take it apart reverse the diode, resolder it

Swap the connector leads.

Mine was like that. Swap the connector leads. Flip the connectors, regardless of the wire colors. It should work then.

Found the problem. It was a bad servo extension. When I squeeze the wires it works. Thanks for all the suggestions.
