Align T-REX 600N 700N > gyro set up 401

Hi can anyone help me i am new to the hobby and have just built a T rex 600n and istalled a 0s 50 hyper with futaba ppm reciever and 3050 servos x4 with a tail servo 9001 and 401 gyro.
when trying to hover the tail seems a bit twitchy and the led on gyro is flashing messed around for ages with it today and when i had enough i unplugged the connector from the gyro to reciever and then plugged back in and the led lights constant now but have not flown since any ideas?

9001 not a very good servo for the tail at all

what radio are you using and what channels are the wires from gyro in?

Also make sure you are in non DS mode on the gyro for that servo otherwise you will fry it. It's a non-digital servo AFAIK. Plus it's super slow. Go get the new Hi-Tec servo for the tail instead...

Inkspot is right, stick a 9254 in itThen make sure it is in "Headding lock" when you switch it on. Then turn it off to set the tail trim. (with adjustments to the rod )not the trimmer function on the radio. The put it back ito heading lock and fly!!!!!.
ALWAYS turn on in heading lock before you start the motor..

The 9001 is too slow for the 401 gyro. Get the S9254 rudder servo(blazing fast). It also sounds that you aren't initializing the gyro properly in Head Holding Mode(GY). For setup information go to:

yup i wouldnt use that servo anywhere but for throttle servo.

non digital on gyro like he said but it wont do you any good.

get either a 9254 or the new hi tech

401 gyro setup

Hi the guy from my lhs recommended the servos (did not buy from him) and the tx is a pretty basic ff6 6 exh hoping to get a ff9 from local show this weekend, being very green and not knowing my arse from my elbow took the advice.
