Between the constant rain and work this thing has taken a while. Finally had a chance to get a bunch of tanks through.

I love to fly HARD! I'll push gear till it fails. Take an airframe to the edge and let it die horribly. That's how it works. Makes me smile.

But I couldn't do it. I took this thing up and felt like a giddy school girl. This thing is just too pretty. WTF? R90 didn't do that. Gonna have to bang it around in my garage and get some scratches on it so I can beat the piss out of it.

Impressions from the Hip:
* Hyper, MPII, 5965's on 6.3V (.10 140oz), 611, +-13 coll, 9 cyc
* 2100 rpm, MAH 603's
* Bone Stock.
* Fan and clutch worked perfect engages just a tiny bit higher.
* Mag holes enlarged slightly and installed flush. Still there.
* Canopy mount moved slightly up (3mm) for taller servos. Invisible.

* Flies very light. Collective hits hard and is instant.
* Tail is very strong. Didn't make it to warp speed piro today.
* Tracks like it's on rails.
* Stock paddles are too stable for me.
* Compared to my R50 at 2100 on MA Whites cyclic was sedate.
* Stubz, V's, Whites or something else definitely going on.

Don't know how I'm gonna bring myself to thrash it. But I think lack of spare parts may have had something to do with it as well. I take my hat off to you guys that beat upon the airbrushed masterpieces.

Heh. Discovered the camera was in movie mode. Bandwidth friendly. Grr.

You'll have fun with this bird.

How true, how true. I've had my first crash already and it's been a LONG week. The vendors finally started getting parts in yesterday. I got everything I need (I think) from two different vendors yesterday. Even got a brand new canopy! Can't wait for the mailman tomorrow!

Let your flying do the talking - don't talk about your flying

Thanks inkspot.

Man. I was messing with this thing last night just to see how much pitch I could get out of it with careful set up.

+-16 and over 10 degrees of cyclic. WOW. It's no wonder the collective management wizards ie. Krause, Szabo can make this thing move like it's on steroids. 32 degrees of pitch with no tweaking. Had to bust my butt and dremel the frames to pick up slightly more than 23 on the neglected one.

Should be a good flying weekend. With a little luck Gallon today, and a good chunk tommorrow. Yeee Haaawww.

Well today we went from little princess to all out biaatcch. Still got a little work to go to make dirrty whhoooorre.

Stuck the MA whites on there. I am still grinning the head was so fast. Now that's what I'm talkin about!!

Got a few better pics this time:

You can see how far you need to move the back posts to allow the taller Hitec servo's clearance. So easy to get a nice clean radio install. I'm loving the dual shot directly into the receiver. There is a reason the GS boys rave about 2s A123's raw. No bottle neck, no extra junk to fail. Just simple and elegant. The lead hangs about an inch below the canopy, very accesible. Tuck it and flog it.

Thought I'd show a nice clean install for the provided glow extension as well. Works nice.

Love it. I'm all about 'feel' so I'll be dialing it in for a while. But it's now to the point that it's me holdin' her back.
