OK. I'm looking at these frames. Looking at all that space and how easily this thing bolts together. It might just be me, but did anyone else see a big motor in this thing? Didn't have a spare one kicking around, but I test fit a 61 in the same size case easily.

The motor mount design is so elegant it wouldn't take much more than two square chunks of aluminum tapped out to drop a 70-90 in. Cooling is superb, find a compatible tail boom if you want long blades.

The pitch is available, weight penalty is less than half a pound (7oz). Can anyone say sub 8lb 90? Or pick up last years 80 on the cheap.

I'm at altitude so I don't get the same thrill from a 50 you guys down low do. (Heh. Yeah that's it.)

I know I'm crazy, but it would be nice to make some strides on the electric boys for power to weight.

I actually had the same thought but with a YS 60 or OS 70. There is a second 600 Nitro Pro waiting for me at Hobbytown/Concord and I might do the conversion on that one.

Come up here and fly at 3700'. We are WAY down on power and have nice thin air (no bite). Only boys that really have the punch are electrics.

It just made me smile when I looked at the drive train assembling this thing. Haven't started measuring, but I think my backup will get some tinkering done to it.

I'm sure the boys over in CO will get it done first for us. Don't think even the exotics have made it much below 8lbs. Looks possible to me. Even a 70 if I can keep the weight down might do it.

Nice Phil. That thing looks FANTASTIC. Looks like you made the boom. Did you find an off the shelf fit and modify?

i mentioned the big block idea to bryan, when this was first released,.. mainly because of the 8mm feathering spindle in the head,.. and the bearing blocks,.. it will only be a matter of time untill there will be 8:1 main ratio and 90 power,. with a longer boom,..a light weight carbon 90 swinging 690's with cheap parts,..
my visa is trembleing already,..
