i wouldnt start using lipos as structural members. you will run into trouble. they just are not designed to do that.

Larger Batteries

I hear what your saying umdpru, but...

The newest fram version out for the HDX has quite a different configuration from the TREX I beleive. I have some pics up in my gallery now. The whole forward area of the frame was designed sort of as a convenience location for electronics, batteries etc. All of the stressed frame areas are from the motor back, and these areas are quite stiff, the nose is just kinda hanging out there without much to do.

Check out my build pics in my gallery, I have some good pics of the forward frame area and would be interested to know if that changes your mind at all.

HDX parts I believe are made by a company called Sonix.
As far as I know they dont design, they manufacture.
