| After long waiting finally here it is.
With the help of one of our Pilots Kim Jenses, we made the Electric conversion for all Robbe Millenium's( 1-2-3) and as well for the Dyna-EX.
Since high voltage ESCs introduced, and the quality of Lipos beame higher , demand for electric helis grew constantly.
every one dreaming about High performance 90 size heli, without the noise and this is where the Electric conversions are taking place.
Conversion Kits are avaliable from Stock, all components are avaliable individually as well.
About the conversion. To be used on Millenium/Dyna-X helis. We didnt develop for Nova and SE, possibly it will be next step, not yet planned.
What we used and Advantages.
- Actro 32-3, possible to use other motors like Orbit, and if there are others in same specifications, its also possible. Actro is Way cheaper and Lighter then Plettenbeg.
- ESC, we used Jazz 55-10-32, and all higher class like CC85/110, Power Jazz will fit as well. tests was done with 10s, 13t pinion, reported RPM 2000.
- We made quite high range of pinions, from 8t till 13t, shaft diameter is 5 and 8mm where possible( 8-10t is impossible to make with 8mm shaft, there will be no "Meat" left)
- Packs, we used 10s 3700, but most packs 10-12s 3700-5000 should be just fine. Millenium has a LOT of space in frames, so easy to go. Another Small advantage is, most of us have packs from previous helis, like 6S from Trex 600, then all needed is just extra 4 -6s same capacity/brand, and you just connect them in serial and you have the right pack.
- Packs Location: Millenium-E: packs can lay in frames, if using 2x 5s, then they will be laying serial way, e.g one after other( see picture).
in Dyna-EX packs can lay on the side of the frames , and even Higher if using self made plate for battery. this will allow High CG which 3D guys will appreciate, it will allow very nice rolls.
Weight: Millenium weighted around 4.4kg RTF, not bad. even compared to Glow.
Modifications. -Some modifications needed, very small cut in the front frames, and couple of 3mm holes needed to be made. in carbon frames its way easier, but using dremel and drill with metal frames should not take longer then 20 min. all this explained in the manual.
Hope this info is valuable, i am planning to build my Dyna-EX and see it flying.
