| The reason, I have the tank turned vertical like that is to reduce the amount of horizontal CG change through 3D manuevers from the fuel sloshing around. The fuel sloshing up and down is less detrimental to the flight characteristics.
I kinda wanted to go with a rear mounted tank, but being that I was working with using existing heli parts, I was kind of limited. There is however no limitations with flight though, it flies great, a lot of credit due to the fantastic programmable head.
At first I wanted to hide the tank, but after flying it, I kinda like having it so visable, because even though it is front mounted, I can easily see my fuel level any time without having to bring it in and peek under the canopy.
This was flight number 10 and I've not had to do any maintenance whatsoever, so I'm very happy that its not falling apart, lol.
