| Huh? Why would this disappoint you? If you've ever built a Miniature Aircraft kit (really the highest quality kits money can buy), assemblies need to be shimmed on those too. It's the nature of a metal/carbon heli. They take more setup, but in taking the time to do it right, you are rewarded with a very smooth heli.
I put one shim on either side of the rod (beyond the one that it tells you to use in the manual), between the frame bearing and the stock plastic arms. I thought that I still had some play, and then grabbed a second 2.5mm driver and turned both screws at the same time and found that I really hadn't tightened them down all the way.
