| If the switch would vibrate to the off position the reciever would not go to fail safe positions, it needs voltage to do that. A possibility would be a intermittant on/off situation in which the receive would be fooled in thinking it wasn't getting a good signal and then it might go to failsafe before it lost voltage as the switch vibrated off. In the case of the switch vibrating off failsafe is no benefit.
Years ago I have a Superior fly away twice,almost one year apart, because the switch( mounted in a Du-bro mount) was not fully in the on position and vibrated to the off position. I recovered it the first time 2 months later with only the blades (wood) to be replaced(warped because on rain, and clutch burnt up, it evidentaly got low on fuel , lost power on came down in some brush running, blades stopped ,clutch got hot and burnt. Second time ,recovered one week later, with no demage, except warped blades and some rusted bolts. Sold it later ,there wasn't going to be a third time.
