| As far as the frames are concerned the Stinger 30/50 frame is not a direct replacement for a Raptor 30/50 V1 It is a replacement for the V2.
I am not certain of all of the differences between a V1 and a V2, but I do know that the start shaft, clutch, clutch bell, pinion and the bearings on the start shaft/clutch stack are different.
I do believe that you can still get the old V1 parts to fit the frames, it just might take a little bit of fiddling.
It has been too many years since I have looked at a V1 up close.
Or like you said It might be time to upgrade the whole heli since there are a lot of improvements between the V1 and V2 that make it worth while.
