What a great deal, got the heli plus engine and muffler out the door for about 600. About 100-200 dollars less than comparable heli's. That gave me 200 to upgrade a couple better servos and buy a gov. Plus, parts are so lowley priced i don't think i will be scarred at all to crash

Electronics will be
s9252 on the collective
two s3050's on the cyclic
s3151 on the throttle
s9254 on the tail
401 gyro
MultiGov
Hitec 7 channel QPCM
heavy duty on/off switch
2500 mah A cell reciever pack

you may want to try the HS81 on the throttle, it is a faster servo and very cheap, I ended up trying one on mine when I added the TT alpha 1 gov. and it works very well and for Under $20, what a deal, it is a mini servo so you need to make a servo plate. but it seems to work very well with the gov. I also use the 9252 on collective. when I had a slower servo on throttle it was noticable.

Not a bad idea

I have two hs 81's lying around anyway. Can you post some pics of the mounting configuration.

I will try but probably won't be till monday, but basically I just took a piece of plastic I had and cut it to fit the servo slot, then cut out the center of the plastic so the hs-81 fits and screw them in.
their are several pics on RR of this and even some of the 90 guys are using it with good luck. I heard a lot of questions concerning if the mini servo can take the vibs, but this is the servo that comes with all the light machines heli's, and can't get more vibs then with them.

I agree, i use the hs 81 metal gear for the throttle on my funtana x50 mounted right behind the engine. It holds up just fine.

You can use almost any servo on the throttle.
But you will notice the difference a faster servo makes.
For all practical purposes there is no significant load on the throttle servo.

Exactly my thaughts, usually the carb bearls, especially OS, are as smooth as silk. I will find a way to make an hs 81 fit in there. Faster means better for the governor and the mini servo lowers weight.

HRRR, i got the box today but my B-Day celebration isn't until tomorow. So, i will have to wait untill tommorow to open the box.

I can't wait.

OH, i am going to try and find away to mount one of the hs 81's on there.

I got the frame pretty much biult today. It apears to be alot bigger than my HAWK PRO 30. Really cool!! The only complaint is the paint on the cf blades was chipping of at the blade roots. I hope this is okay. I dropped a bit of CA in there to try and prevent it from getting worse.

Wow, I did a weight check today. The thing came in at 7.2 pound minus fuel. That is extremely light IMO. That is only about 1/8 of a pound heavier than my hawk pro .30 and it has a 50. AWESOME. Fired up the electrical system today. Those digi's i am putting in there have alot of torque, WOW. I actually had to fittle with the pitch pushrod lengths on both the swash and the lever to get and even +11/-11. The way it came from the factory, at max deflection it was +15/-6. I will be running +10/-10. I am debating between a 1850 and 1950 on the hs as I don't have a extra channel but the MultiGov makes it pretty darn easy to change your HS manuel. Takes about 5 seconds. I will probabley start with 1850 and work my way up.

Ive had to adjust them on every heli so far. I also run 2000 hs in idle 1 and 2100 limiter in idle 2.

I would target about 1900, I have dropped down to around 1900 and it still rolls so stinkin fast it is unreal, of course i am using light carbon paddles, and i would deffinatly run +-11 not 10, 10 just isn't enough i will probalby try to get 12 today, because with the lower head speed it is smoother but climbouts are a bit slower, but more fuel efficient and my KSJ seems to like it their. I am running the TT zero alpha Gov and love it. takes all of 5 seconds to change the head speed, just change my ATV's and it changes the head speed. I am gong flying over lunch today, I am swapping out my 2 junk servo's and putting in 2 more 9252's

I will go with 1900 then. I would run +11/-11 but i have herd the hyper can only handle 10. I will be running 15% fuel anyway. Cheaper and better fuel economy IMO, in my airplanes i saw about a 200rpm increase with 30%. Not worth the extra 6 bucks a gallon.

The ideal pitch and head speed for one person will not be ideal for everyone.
You have to tune your heli to match your current flying style, (Not the flying style that you hope to someday achieve) and your complete setup including things like fuel used, muffler used, blade choice, air temperature, humidity, altitude, and a host of other variables.

For my setup the heli has a much faster climb rate at +10° than it does at +11°. I have also seen as much as a 2° difference in readings from different brands of pitch gauges. I use the pitch gage as a setup tool to get close and then fine tune for best performance in the air.

This is why I avoid giving my settings, but I am more than willing to help you get the most out of your setup.

1900 and +/-10° is a good safe starting point (especially for a new engine) and plan to tune from there.
