have you ever wondered what would happen if you lost a flybar paddle in flight?
Well nothing! I just got back from my vaction and had a chance today over lunch to fly my Stinger 50, a few days before I left I had pulled it apart and replaced the bearings in my OS50, and installed a new set of carbon paddles. well you know what happens when you rush to get something done before you leave, and well I forgot to tighten down one of the paddles I guess, As I was flying I saw something fly off to the side and wasn't sure if I acctually lost something or if it was a bird?? but just to be safe I flew it back and landed, supprized i SAW I was missing one paddle! it seemed to fly just fine with one though! Luckly I found the paddle too

If it was a carbon fiber paddle, then there is not much to unbalance, although I too would think there would be a noticable differance.

they were 15g carbon paddles, it did have some slight shakes but not too bad, and in FF it really wasn't too noticable? of course I didn't try to roll it!

I think you got lucky. I had a Raptor 70 throw a paddle 3-4 years ago, and I've never seen such a violent unbalance and crash before. I'm betting that a lot of it had to do with you running such light paddles. The Rappy had the stock gigantic black plastic paddles on it, they are pretty heavy.

I saw CY throw paddles a couple of times at IRCHA.
The heli had a noticeable vibration and made a weird noise but was flow to a landing with no problem.

I would still check your mainshaft for a slight bend. A 15g unbalance at 2000 rpm is still a lot of force.
