Looks like Synergy sideframes with a Fury head with the Hirobo split gear drive. Good combo. I imagine it was especially good building it while drinking the Vergelegen!

Tail blade grips and swash look to be Quick UK. Also a Hirobo fan guard with a MA head. Is this a home build? Looks quite nice.

if you haven't named it yet I'd go with Frankenstein.

I'm surprised anyone has the ingenuity to tackle such a thing. Flown it yet?

Those tail grips are metal. Quick UK had a batch that they were selling at a reduced price due to some cosmetic problems so they anodized them black. I really like the color and wish they would offer that as a color choice.

Very nice!

I'd shorten the main shaft to make it roll better.

Midwestpilot is right that's why it is called the fusion. I drew up the design a few months back but did not have the time to get it done until now although it's not finished yet. the tail drive can be changed to a belt drive which i might do as that is what i prefer.

RappyTappy ..... where is your fusion

Pretty amazing, I've been working on my own heli as well, very different from IYKIST heli. My frames are about probably half the size but yet still rigid for the most extreme 3D. I started my project well over 2 years ago when I was working at Zooms, which can be confirmed by many btw. Crazy thing is, me n' IYKISt are using almost the exact CCPM set up even though we never spoke or saw eachothers heli before, kinda weird.

I would have to say that I named mine before this and I feel it was a little ripped off, but oh well, can't prove it anyways. I would think that someone creative enough to design a main frame can come up with a unique name though. Or maybe it was just a case of great minds think alike?

I will be posting pics of my now renamed heli CTF HyperAktive 90 (CTF stands for Chris Tylo Fusion) once I get the last remaing parts to 'fuse' onto it, get it, lol. Uses predator drivetrain and tail, Fury motor mounts, Kalt CCPM and bellcrank type set up and a CX Programmable head.

Look good IYKIST, it definately was a challenge huh.

Hi Rappy tappy For years i have wanted to name my next 60/90 Fusion and did not know that you were designing yours surprisingly my next 50's name is similar to your new name as you said great minds think alike i initially designed this machine to use the fury mounts inshort 90% fury parts but would have had to cut new main gears and taildrive gears but went the easier route.
I liked the Kalt mercury 60 servo layout and used it for my raptor ccpm if you look in my gallery you would see it, that was done 3 years ago and this is what Hirobo is now using for the Lepton and Eagle 3 on this bird The head is Xcell's, swash is Quick uk's, swash guide and tank is synergy's, engine mount is avant's, tail drive/boom is predators using the GPH gear box with a custom lever bracket, vigor landing gear brackets, the frames, T-levers, spacers and bearing blocks are mine and the rest is Hirobos the main shaft is temporary I have loads of designs drawn up but it takes time and cost a lot to get them all done.

No i don't but it is very light removing the engine and it is paper weight compared to my own Vigor.

Cool, post the weight when you get it. Once I put all mine together, I'll put the pictures in my gallery and I'll get it weighed. I'm using G-10 and I could go lighter, but I like my the cost of the G10, only $10 for a entire framset

I still can't decide on what canopy to use for it. I've been thinking either Fury or Evo canopy. I like a plastic canopy cause its cheaper, more durable and doesn't need to be painted.

I have been unable to find black G10 in the UK which i would eventually use for my other projects. I am also working out a conversion for the millenium which is going to be awesome if it worksout as planned bearing in mind that i have to find time to test this ( i don't fly very often so usually get capable hands to fly it to be honest i do enjoy designing than flying)

for the first frames, I'm just using some stock 2.3mm yellow G-10, but I'm thinking I can get some 1.5mm from McMaster Carr and it is black. I'm pretty sure all the bearing blocks and channels I've used in my frames will allow for the .08 thinner G10 and still have the strength it needs for no flex.

I enjoyed designing the heli, but I'm glad it's over and I can't wait to beat the heck out of it! Thats when the real fun kicks in for me
