My wife thinks my hobby is boring. There-for I havent been able to fix my Raptor 90 for almost 1 year. Its only going to cost about $300.00 to repair it. What should i Do, or Say?

I'm not understanding how the jump was made from 'it's boring' to
'no, you can't fix it'.

Does she control all of the money in the relationship?

Is there enough money to meet your normal family commitments?

If the answer is yes to both, yyou have a SERIOUS problem and need
to get your balls out of her pocket.

There's only one thing that will solve your problem and that's to get get rid of whats causing your problem.
I'm sure you'll miss her for a few days, but on the bright side, at least you'll have a flyable heli. In fact, I bet, the more you fly, the less you'll miss her!!!

$300? And for a whole year? How much does she spend on shoes, hairstyles, makeup, and starbucks in a year?

I can maybe understand $300 in a month. Maybe.

Anyway - DTB

I have so much more money now that I divorced my manipulative ex-wife. Life is good.

Life is too short, if she is that manipulative, you need to rethink things...... There are some really great, understanding, sharing women out there.

They don't have to actually fly with you like my girlfriend to be great, but they should be just as understanding about your hobbies and spending as you are about there's.

I got a helicopter for my girlfriend,
It was a good trade!

Does $300 really affect your lifestyle? Or more importantly less than a dollar a day? If so sell the bloody heli and move on. Come back when you can afford it.

Anyone suggesting putting a couple chunks of plastic and metal over their wife and family are nuts.

That said. GROW A PAIR. They invented this thing called cash... you put a little aside every week, and buy what you want. Doesn't show up on CC statements. There is no interest to pay. Doesn't typically get you into crap with the wife.

Oh and remove price tags before that junk hits your garage.

Since when do YOUR hobbies have to entertaining to your wife? Are her hobbies entertaining to you? I don't mean to sound negative or anything, but I HAD a wife like that one time. I HAVE a wife now that could care less if I play with "toy" helicopters. Actually she doesn't consider them toys.....especially the gasser. She really don't mind going out to watch some flying, if it isn't too hot and the bugs are not too bad. There are women out there that don't feel like they have to control their husbands lives.

What she doesn't know, won't hurt her....

My wife's the same way, except it's more on the unneccessary expenses thing... When I crashed last month or so on a Sunday, the raptor was not on it's usual perch but in a garbage bag under the dining/work table... aolng with all the new replacement parts (about 300 bucks worth).... the next day, Monday evening, I looked like I was Just tinkering around like usual with the head and tail off the frame, but I was actually doing a serious re-build (frames and and all).

But nowadays, I do keep the expenses down coz the helis land properly most of the times now and have barely been going to the lhs like before.

But maybe you should build up your rappy a part at a time... it may not be th money really, but more on the time you spend with her...

My wife just read this post. She said to go ahead and get what you need to get back in the air. I'm her second Hub. First was a drunk and an animal hater. Me,I very seldom drink and put up with All These Animals!. I like my toys and she knows it,lets me buy toys, toys and more toys. I just turned her onto e-bay,now it's a race to see who can put us in the poor house first!,my heli, cars,VWs and super pocket bikes Vs. her super pocket bike and baby dolls. Oh! One more thing...Who has the balls in the family?

Welcome my son, Welcome to the machine
