Hello, am i the only one getting fast small glitches on the ciclic servos on DX7.

It has already happened to 2 of us at our field.

I tought it was the receiver or the servos, i changed both (R7000 )but problem still there.

Helis are both electric, one is a trex 450 the other a Lepton.

Rx power comes from the esc of a kontronik jazz 80-6-18, and it does it with a freshly charged pack.

The peak power is higher with the AR7000 on the cyclic servos because the servo pulses are next to each other. Try an RX pack instead of the Jazz BEC to see if it helps.

The thing is that using a rx pack on a trex 450 is not very useful. I swapped out the 7000 and put a 146iP in and problem gone.
I tought T14MZ was using near pulses on ciclic too.

Paul are you saying the the esc is the problem? Kontronik jazz 80-6-18 bec is rated at 4Amp.

Not when using a PCM or PPM rx.

So the reason for ciclic glitches is that the 4amp bec of the kontronik can't keep up with 3 x HS56? (i tested the jazz 80 in the rex 450 today and same problem).

For some reason certain combinations of BECs, receivers, and servos have problems like this. For example, an Airtronics PCM receiver plus a UBEC or Medusa Research BEC will result in servo glitches (regardless of type of servo) when the servos are unloaded. But load just one to cause a bit more constant load on the BEC and it works fine.

It has to do not with the average and peak current capability of the BEC, but the switching nature and its interaction with all things electronic. Obviously not all combinations have problems. Just very specific combinations.

Does the problem continue if you load a servo?
