Ok, this was little odd.
I had my Heli on the bench pre-flight checking. Everything was fine when I installed the receiver at first and did all setup few weeks ago.

Lipo battery full load, ubec working checked voltage everything was FINE!!

When I switched the TX and RX boot up perfecly. When I switched from Normal to Idle up 1 the receiver reset, went to safe mode and returned back after few seconds. WEIRD!!

Did this several times and then I lost confidence on my assy. Repeating... voltage and regulator was working very fine.

Relocated the main TX and did some wire routing mods and now everything is working fine.

THERE MUST BE SOME KIND OF INTERFERENCE IF YOU RUN YOUR SERVO/REGULATOR WIRING TOO CLOSE TO THE RX WIRING OR HARDWARE.

Spektrum should look closely to this issue. My luck was that I've found this lockout issue on the bench and not flying my heli.

I saw somewhere a guy that was having the same issue with his plane and re-routed some wiring and the lockout issue disapeared.

Beware then!!

If the receiver reset it must be due to a brown-out (voltage below 3.5V momentarily), not interference.

When the idle up switch is moved, all the servos make a jump and draw a fair amount of current. If there is a high resistance connection or a weakness in the reg or battery, the voltage can drop pretty low momentarily. Hard to catch without a fast monitor like VoltMagic, the Spartan unit, or similiar that capture low voltage.

Paul,
It also happened when I was installing Revmax. I set ch 7 -100/+100 to switch on/off to put the Revmax in setup mode and both receivers reset. I had to reduce to (more or less) -55/+100 and the reset disapeared. Adjusted all and moved to -100/+100 again to give it a try and voila.. no reset. I cannot see anything wrong with my electrical setup.

Thanks anyway

Brown out was my 1st thought. I've done some work on analysing the voltage drop with standard cabling & connectors, and they are not very good. If you can fit heavier duty power cabling and a deans connector this will help. I always bring the supply rails into 2 connectors on the receiver so as to implement redundency as well as beef up the current capabilities of the power distribution on the rx connectors. The 3 pin connectors and Futaba/JR cables can result in a much as a 3v drop, while a deans with 19A multistrand reduces this to 1v drop when servos are heavily loaded.
