Naomi,

2.99 Mb for 28 seconds... Hmmm here is what I was noticing... Your file size would be smaller if you could use MP3 audio stream, looks like it is still using PCM... Do you have the option to change your auido codecs?

Your Video stream is at 697kbps and the audio is at 802kbps!!! You could easily hack that in half still!!! MP3 should give you about 96kbps for good sound...

How did you get to beta test this? Can anyone get it?

Chris

Chris,
Is the video works well for you? can you hear the sound at all? You can downloaded at windows update site.. you have to run windows xp to be able to use it though. Those sound files are wav files not mp3 though I could try to convert them to mp3. I like to keep video file size down as much as possible without loosing too much quality and for longer playing time as well.

Yes worked great!!! I was just trying to give you a pointer for getting that file size cut down even more!!!

Try this link if you don't have the codec...
http://www.riphelp.com/downloads/radium_codec.html

Just download it and install... One warning though, every time you upgrape media player you will have to reinstall the codec so keep it handy! MS doesn't like the codec and prefrers to have people use the wma version!!! Good old MS!!!

Hope this helps!

ACM

Cough!

(For NT / 2000 / XP)

Place the l3codecp.acm into the System32 folder.

Here is a file to download and run to add windows entries required to install L3 ACM codec for all Windows 95 to Me and NT to XP

InstL3.zip

Once you have InstL3.zip then extract the InstL3.inf file inside it, right click the InstL3.inf and choose "Install" and the settings will be added to Windows. (you wont see any screen appear when this inf file is run so just run it once.)
Next restart the computer and the L3 Codec is ready to use.

Cheers
