I think I'm going to order up a pack or two so I can FINALLY get my T-Rex up and flying. I hope these packs are good as everyone says, but so far I haven't heard anything bad about them, so no worries

Hi NBHeli,

I have included part of the TP205 balancer manual at the end of this post. The TP205 balancer will probably be in the "C" mode below with the yellow status LED flashing, and the beeps may drive you nuts a bit. It is normal however with our pack after a deep discharge that the cell voltage is differ by more than 0.2V. Simply charge as usual and the voltage should balance out shortly. If this voltage difference and the beeping really bothers you, set your cut-off at 3.2V per cell and the voltage should be quite even among the cells.

Thanks.

Barry

TP205 manual excerpt:

A: Imbalance under 0.03V: yellow status LED “on”, red LED(s) “on” for 5 seconds. Proceed with normal charging If yellow status LED “ flashes”, pack average voltage is below 3.6V

B: Imbalance 0.03 to 0.2V: yellow status LED”off”, red LED(s) flash for 5 seconds Charge at 0.3A to balance the pack or proceed carefully with 0.5C charge. If yellow status LED ”flashes”, pack average voltage is below 3.6V Proceed with normal charging

C: Imbalance over 0.2V: yellow status LED “off”, red LED(s) flash for 60 seconds. Battery may require repair (Keep battery plug into the balancer for auto self balance, do not charge battery until bleeding/balancing stop). If imbalance remain >0.2V, balancer continues beeping every minute for 10 seconds.

If yellow status LED begins flashing, pack average voltage has dropped to below 3.6V. You may charge the battery at 0.3A and monitor charging for one hour, if the beeping stop but bleeding continue, unplug the charger and balancer to retest the pack with balancer. If beeping continue, you need professional help.

So what ever happened to the 6s packs?

My surprise at how many people are for sale is only rivaled by my shock at how little they cost

Our shipment is trickling in but we don't want to start selling them until we have sufficient stock quantity. It will be soon ... very soon :-)

7 MINUTES!?!!!!!!

Now, why would anyone want to fly that long in a e600? I got that much flight time in my nitro Raptor50 Titan! Well, that's when I use to fly nitro

Great Job!

"its really not difficult to keep from running normal packs down."

No it's not, but as humans, we sometimes forget. All it takes is a moment of fatique/forgetfulness and you've toasted an $80 pack. On the 600s, it's a $300 pack.

I like lighter weights as well, but like most things in life, you don't get something for nothing.

I'm playing with A123s on my 600 and they are heavier, but also can be run down pretty low and recharged in 15 minutes and about $150 a pack for a 600. Trade offs.

Cheers!

hey
i know most people here have SE's with the tray that slants for the battery.....

however i have the XL version (HDE) with the mechanical mixing and i am having trouble fiting the battery...it is snug height wise which i don't mind...but it seems that width wise it is too snug...like i could force it in if wanted but i'm afraid of damage...

any suggestions??

Thanks

Upgrade your frame. You can pick up the standard black CF Frame for less the $60.00 and it's a well worthwhile upgrade. The XL Frame is a hack, and you can't even put the canopy on right without binding the servos. Modefos heli can give you a good price on one of these.

Cheers!

No, it would be CCPM at that point. Yes, the battery should fit because it doesn't mont the same way. I have personal experience converting from the XL CCPM frame to the CF Frame. Best upgrade I purchased.

Regards,
Lee

PS, Actually, I believe there is an HDE CF Frame now that I think about it, so you could still retain the mechanical mixing. However, if your radio supports CCPM, I'd suggest going that route, as it's simpler and lighter. Check with Modefos I believe they carry both versions.

They have a mechanical mixing Carbon frame for the 450's.... you dont have to neccessarily go to eCCPM when going to carbon frames.

You may still experience trouble with the battery though. I do think that the carbon frame is a bit wider than the plastic frame. What about standing the battery up on its side? I think you'll have a problem with height clearance doing that too.

I can't guarantee the battery fit on the HDE frame. The CCPM has lots of room. The HDE is a real kludge, IMHO.

Cheers!
