i have set blade pitch as per instuctions in manual for normal flight
but cannot do full power climb or forward flight without head speed
increasing should i just keep increasing the pitch at full stick until a constant rpm is maintained across the board i have voyager 50 with
os 50 sxh jr xp 652 radio im thinking of upgrading radio to 3810
are they any good, also would a gv 1 governor be of any advantage
i am currently flying circuits with a view to some basic airobatics

You might find that lowering the throttle to about 85% or so and adding cyclic mix works good

What gearing are you guys using?
Stock gearing is 88/9 which is 9.7:1
now a Raptor 50 is geared 8.5:1,
I've been experimenting with a 10 tooth pinion ( 8.8:1) with 62cm BBT's and first impressions are very good.
Or can anyone explain the reasoning behind the low stock gearing?

Im just running the stock gearing ,engine seems much to powerfull in
the stock voyager. given that u can fit a 46 or 50 size engine,i wonder if the supplied gear ratio is a happy medium, one size fits all type of an affair?

Hi Bob
I struggled for 18 months with the tail of my V50 (JR 550 gyro) my conclusion was that the engine wasn't loaded properly.
It flew much better with 640 SAB (180 gm) blades and the gyro worked better
The combo of 600 blades OS 50 and 9.7 gearing just didn't seem right tho I'm not good enough a flier to give a definitive answer.
