I haven't got that far yet. The tail motor stopped working so I bought a replacement, while it was still in transit, I figured a way to extend the life of the broken one. Then the main motor fried. So I'm basically upgrading as things fail/brake or run out of spares. However in preliminary research I found if BL motor for the tail with the size called out as a 12-30 (diameter-length in mm) will work. EDIT; I don't know what the KV is suppose to be, like I said, I haven't got that far.

The part number on the main BL 3800KV motor I used is an Esky # EK5-0006.

I would check your blade pitch with a gauge. It should be -10, 0, 10 or there abouts, as long is both blades match.

Also the smooth operation of everything, etc.

I know it's quicker and easier for you to just ask forums. But is sounds like you need to do some research and reading on the basics. You can also find instructional "How To" videos on YouTube.com I have seen blade pitch instructions there.

Hello all,
Finally found a Axe cp thread here. Has anyone upgraded to the CNC purple rotor head? A friend of mine had one but no luck. It was assembled properly, no tight linkages or seesaw. It would fly, but no really cyclic authority at all. I think there is something wrong with the design. We put the plastic head back on, and it flew like a champ. Did the GY240, and tail ESC mod as well. Good flying heli for what it is, just really curious about that metal head.

flying is simple, electronics is hard
