I know guys have converted their Evos, I'm just trying to decide if it's worth converting mine or just sell it. I've been flying a Century Swift for a while now and will most likely get something bigger in the future as the price of batteries come down but the Evo seems like it will make a heavy electric unless considerable lightening is done to it. I did really like the way it flies though.

Haven't had any luck selling it at the swaps I've been to and don't want to hassle with Ebay. I may just take a shot at converting it. I'm going to take the engine, muffler, tanks and start gear off and see what the weight is and make a determination after that.

Or maybe I'll just get all bent because I can't get what I want for it and have my boss blow it up with the rifle he used to shoot his Cape Buffalo in Africa last year!

I think I'm going to convert my Evo. I just removed the engine and related equipment from my Evo and if I also factor in 16oz for the weight of 18oz of glow fuel, I lose a whopping 48oz from the total weight! I never would have believed it would be that much! And I'm sure I can lighten things up a little more and I'll lose a few more by running a UBEC vs a big rx pack. Sure seems like it would work. We'll see. Now I just have to figure out what I need for a power system.

My Sceadu Evo RTF weights 4.4kg or 9lbs 10.8Oz with Z50-600, CC85HV, 15S A123 and Hyperion SBec, GY502/9254 and 3 digital servos. This is stock with HPM swash and heavy skid and painted Canopy. I might put it on a diet to achieve at least 4kg or 8lbs 12.7Oz which is still heavy. My friend's Evo with OS50 hyper, 601/9251 and 4 digital servos and 1800mA receiver packs weight 3.7kgs or 8lbs 2Oz without fuel.
