I am trying to get to th combination of 37 volts and 4000mah. Can this be done with the e-moli cells? I am new to electrics and just bought a raptor conversion that requires this combo.

You really don't want to use emoli batteries, they can't take more than about 15C discharge. If you want to use something other than Lipos, use A123 cells. These cells can take a lot of abuse and can be completely discharged, removed from the heli and charged at 10 amps. and don't have a lot of voltage drop. If you have the TPPacks.com CF frame conversion that will allow for A123 packs, you can use two 10S packs in parallel (10S2P). This would give you 4400 mah @ 30v. The resting voltage for an A123 cell is 3.6v but drops to 3v when a load is applied and then will drop to around 2.3v. A lot of guys set the normal and idleup 1 throttle curve to say 80 and idleup 2 to 100, depending of coarse on how the heli is geared but the idea here to maintain HS so when the cells start to go down you can go to idleup 2.
There are a lot of threads here and on rcgroups about A123 cells and emolis, if you don't have any experience with either I would suggest doing some reading before trying either one, it might save you some money down the road. Simple things like charging and soldering leads and cells together.

Here is one thread.

Just what charger do you use to charge a 37 volt battery at 10 amps? By my figuring you need a 400+ watt charger which will draw in excess of 35 amps from your 12 volt source to charge.

Back to the real world of 1 hour charges!

i use a mastech 2050e to charge my packs.. I have found that if you can charge them to 4v per cell with a loaded voltage of around 3.6 per cell. takes a couple of cycles to ramp up to this voltage but very impressed. flew some kokam packs the other day... never realized how long an hour was until then
