After reading reviews and comments on a couple of forums and thinking it over I purchased A hurricane 550 from A guy in Canada off E-bay. the kit contains only the motor, kit and blades, I imagine woodies. I have a align 75a T-Rex 600 E.S.C. and a Ultimate BEC, 3a 5.1v output 5.1~35v input so I think I will be OK. from what I have read the Align ESC runs most efficiently in this bird. I will be using servos that came with my new DX7 that has not even come out of the box yet 401 gyro and will eventually get a 9254 to go with it. Should I use a TP3cell 900mah that I have for the U-BEC or is that too small? The U-BEC will handle the voltage but I am not sure the mah. is big enough. Or, should I hook it directly to the main power? Any how I will let everyone know how things go

If this chopper does not work out just think of all the lipos I will have for my Rex 450

I have about 35 flights on mine and I am having a ball with this thing!
I am running a 850 mah 2 cell on my BEC and it’s good for 4 to 5 flights. The 821 servos will work very well.

So far so good

There has already been a good review of this bird given and I agree with all of it. I have only hovered in the front yard and in the garage [5 minute flights.] Put back( 790, 925,) in one set and (1025& 1100) in the other set. second set well seasoned. running align 75a ESC. mid timing.

I am surprised to see such a split in the MAH that you’re putting back into your batteries. The sets of batteries that I am using run very close together in the amount of energy I am putting back into them after a flight.

Yes I am concerned also I always balance charge with a triton Charger and equinox balancer. I think the split in MAH is caused by how out of balance they are after the flight since the balancer works in tandem with the charger. I am going to try it without the balancer and see what happens. Unfortunately the weather here went bad. Snow this morning high winds. supposed to be nice Saturday.

Got some TP 3300 25cell today

. LHS miss ordered and gave me a real good deal

. So far I have through bolted all the control links,lengthened them, Put a much longer screw in the tail control lever it just seemed wimpy. using 500mm mikado logo blades narrower cord Getting solid 8 min flights with room to spare. I just did a 6 min idle up full blast batteries warm not hot and I am charging the batteries now will see how it did. Unfortunately I have not been able to fly much because of work

I am enjoying this helicopter very much.

I have a bunch of flights on my 550 now 30+ finally flew it upside down the other day. I think it has helped me to be more smooth with my flips and rolls, loops. I think I love it as much as my little Rex. The cheap lipos I bought off E- Bay don't cut the mustard though. I got 4 for 124$$ and they are already junk

If you want to have real fun you need 20-25c batteries. My TP Extreme 25c 3300mha are perfect
