I have a 600L from a T-rex 600, first of all I want to know if this will work and what can I expect from the heli? if this will work what's the best esc should I go with the whole 600 setup or something else. Any suggestions would be of great help, just want to make sure before I go spending money that I don't turn this heli into a beast that will be hard to control, It might be a front mounted point and shoot camera ship if that matters on the power aspect? any help at all, is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

No. The KV is way to low you would never be able to get a high enough head speed

Hacker

Is the hacker c40 9L the best to go with? The headspeed won't be high enough, even if I run a different pinion? I don't see how it could be high enough on a 50 size trex600 but not a voyager e? I'm not being rude at all, I just have a load of questions. Thanks for your response.

Well I use a Himax 2825 with a kv rating of 3600 and still have to use a 16 tooth pinion. With this setup I get a head speed of 1900 with 90% throttle.

I just thought that with a trex 600 setup in the voyager would give me ample lifting ability and decent duration. can you explain pinions to me, does higher tooth count give you more head speed but lower would give you more torque? am I right or is it opposite? I haven't dealt with ratios and pinions very much. Thanks

I'm not the best person to explain this but I did find a good head speed calculator at http://www.e-helis.com/helicalc.php

Would you happen to know the closest equivalent to the 600L on there?

Please don't try to use that motor on a VE. You would have much better luch trading it with someone here on runryder for one that would be better suited. The what you need to look for is a motor with a kv rating between 3200-4200 and rated to at least 400 watts.

best is hacker 9L or kontronik twist 33, both have something like 3333 rpm/volt. the voyager has a high gearing, from the past to suit the car motors, modern helis in our days have 3 times less gearing.
