Hey Leslie or anyone else out there

I'm looking for some graphics for my TREX. I was at Hobby Town USA over the weekend and they didn't have any I liked. It has a plain white fiberglass canopy on it now. Boring

My BF showed me Cali graphics sight before. I can't seem to find it now though. Any other suggestions for online decals, or at least, how to redirect me back to these Cali graphics?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I went through similar trials and tribulations on my canopy. I have one painted insignia orange which works real well for my forested area (especially in hunting season)

I wound up getting decal paper for my printer and making my own, my lhs had the paper and I used the color laser printer at work...just an option.

I had another thought, Kjfly, is a heli-gal who is a great graphic artist!!

You might wait until she weighs in on the subject or pm her, she sent me a great vinyl graphic for my trex box!!! Just a thought!!

You can do your own...

You can buy the colors you want at a sign and banner shop... they will sell you - by the foot - of the vinyl...

I did use the computer to layout the design..then I spray mounted it to the back side of the vinyl.. the part you peel off. Cut it out with scissors and stuck it on!!

If you want to get creative, do your own. I did these myself in a few hours. Very low cost.
2 12x18 sheets graphic vinyl from graphics/sign place. $5 ea.
1 roll <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3...on%20fiber"; onmouseover="window.status='carbon fiber'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">carbon fiber</a> decals (simulated) @ autoparts store. $4.99
1 roll red auto pin stripe. (autoparts store) $1.99
Futaba logo left over from previous canopy not used. $?
Total of about $12. If it peels off or gets old, peel it off and make some more.


You can use scraps for matching tail fins!

Thanks for those kind words Leslie - glad you like your "Heli Gal" decal! (see Leslie's gallery, her TRex case)

Take a look at the Hubby Mechanic's gallery (tjride) and you can see some of my attenpts on canopies. Our Century Swift Canapy doesn't take paint very well so I started playing with the hand cut vinyl - it works great - but I can't get as creative as I would like. I want to look into the decal paper for our printer so I can do my graphics in PhotoShop (I'm a graphic designer).

checked out leslie's gallery. the canopies are awesome. i do like the pink one. she's right though that the digital camera makes it look a bit orange though. even with that being said...it still looks cool that shade of "digital orange"
