I went to fly my 50 yesterday, I went to a hover, flipped to idle-up, then the tail rotor grip snapped off. Its only the 3rd flight on a new ship.. I thought these tail grips were supposed to be upgraded, they missed mine... I tried to auto but there was not enough headspeed. Now I have to spend well over 200.00 to replace all the parts. This is on a NEW heli.. At least my canopy made it..

I never touched it, it came that way. All I did was remove the assy to put on the alum tail case.

Which bolt are you refering to ? If it's the grip bolt ...I don't think so...half of the rotor hub is missing.

The part that is missing is the shaft that the rotor grip bolt goes into. It is part of the hub assy. You do not have to remove that piece to get the assy off. I only removed the set screws and relocktited them to shaft to get the case together. You cant see it in the photos, but I took the broken piece to a magnifier and there is bad casting marks. It looks as if the metal had an impurity in it. Im no expert on the matter, but I do work with metals in my career.
I like this heli, thats why I went ahead and ordered all the repair parts, Im even considering the 90 size. Although I will take it apart and reloctite everything.
If you look at the pic of the tail you can see the dark line, thats were the break started.

Sorry, you are right!!! there is no bolt!! the aluminium failed!!!

I THINK..... but not familiar whit Gohbee, so bye, bye, sorry agene!!!

That looks exatly like what happened to mine about a month ago, I updated it with the new sus hub from the raptor...I had to put the plasticgrips back on because Gohbee doesn't sell just the arm for the metal grip you have to buy the whole grip for about 40....not really impress with the quality of these helicopters..

OK, Silly question time.
From looking at the middle photo in the top row, it appears the you either have the tail blades on backwards or the tail is turning the wrong way.
It is also possible that the grips are just turned around in the photo since the links are broken on both of them.
Just something to check out.

Nope, tail spun the right way. the grips spun around. Got a call from Dave, he is looking into the cause. When the owner calls you at home ,I consider that good customer service....
My parts will be here in the am, she will fly again.

Gohbee's customer service is hard to beat.
Glad all is on the way.
You do have to admit that the pic does look like something might be backwards.
