| Running full power negative pitch on the ground is not a good idea. The loads are a lot higher than will be encountered in the air. When in the air and at full pitch the heli will be moving and reduces the load on the drive line by a lot. Or to look at it another way, if you chained your car to a tree and stood on the gas, would you say the trany was bad because it burned up. You are doing the same thing here. I have also seen landing gear snap from the load on a raptor 30, causing a tip over. There really has not been an issue with clutches burning up in normal use.
