The poor shuttles, I learned on one of these.
I have two of the old Canopy's! One is red the other is white. Both have windshields. The white one has a small crack at the lock location but it could certainly be used.
I might also have a short main mast or two, would make for a better tangled mess.
If you need them!!!!

WOW, That's a great offer! I can definatly use the canopy and main mast. Since I am not a shuttle expert what's the differences in the short mast and a long mast? Just wondering. If I'm correct it's so one can get more collective range out of it. In this case that's not a real issue anyway.

Send them to:

BTW, that's a standard US mailing address. Just like mailing to New York. It's unique because I am a serviceman overseas. Please make sure it has a customs tag on it reflecting "toy Helicopter parts".

Thanks again!

Volkul,

Noticed you've recently acquired the shuttle from Cxbxrxexi...

What do you need from those of us who are living vicariously through you on this crash spectacle?

Well, I really need to kinda take an assesment of things. I am in the process of buying 2 more shuttles. I am using the cash donations for the purchase. So when it's all said and done I might have enough chassis for 4 crashes. I'm sure I'll have enough for 3. One place I am hurting on is electronics. I need some servos and recievers. I have plenty of gyros thanks to you Obsessive and MHTJef.

Well there you have it...

hey Volkul I got to brainstorming with someone and we came up with a kick arss two heli trick that, to our knowledge has never been tried (we dont have the stuff, so it can be your trick ):

Its called "The Fusion" and you got a lot of support going to do such a thing...

put some wide footed skids on two birds. Hover one inverted and land the other one on its skids, tails/noses out! cuz the final step is gonna need to be that way we figure

Now try coordinated slow pirouettes, pause then a big flip(!!!!!) break off towards the end and fly away.....some velcro on the skids would help any small mistimings

Imagine this, two helis in sustained fusion maneuvers, it would not be without its teething problems. Maybe someone already suggested this but it would be groundbreaking stuff. two mistakes high and if it doesnt work it will be a helluva crash.

Hell if you want to commit to something like that I will send you things, as long as you get over this emphasis on crashing, Try a new way to fly that can be done if you and RR support breaks the way.

The Fusion get's my vote

I think that is a good idea r60fan.

And if you could have a way that when the two heli's connect, that one of them drops it's signal and picks up the other transmitter's signal, then one person could take controll (synthasized 9Z, hey doesn't Ken have one?) of it and fly the mirror image heli around for a time. Then of course the spectacular never been done or seen before, mind boggling crash of the mirror image heli at the end.

I think it is ammusing that you choose shuttles. Most of us have had them, and most of us want to see one get obliterated.

I have some stock Raptor 30 paddles I could contribute if you need them.

Ken i think you should get some fireworks (larger type rockets especially) and try to shoot the heli down. It should involve pyro technics but not the kind that blow everything on the heli up (like you said wont happen because of the loaned parts)

You could put in a nearly-broken jesus bolt and then launch the main gear by pulling full collective

Just thought I would pass along an update.

I have not recieved several of the promised items in this post as of yet.

The only people I have recieved items from is MHTjef, Sal, and Obsessive.

If anyone has sent anything else to be used in the project you might enquire with the local post office.

I did get a good deal on 2 Shuttle ZX's and bought those last week. In theroy they should be here this week. At this point I am still engine less for all the machines and am still in need of servos. If anyone has some Futaba 148 or 3001 servos they want to donate I could use them for the project. Yet I sit here with 3 machines somewhere in the mail and nothing to put anything in. Well just passing it all on.

Cheers

Ken, have you decided on what the stunt will be, or is it still two steam locomotives in the corn field grade entertainment?

I definetily say lets those shuttles burn!!! Seriously Soak everything in gas except electronics(put some metal for protection on things like receiver/servos) making sure the wires won't burn when it's lit on fire. Then fly the ball of fire around and do the locomotive crash thing. If you can't do the fire thing definetily get some fireworks and make up a trigger that blows it up when they hit(metal ball supported by plastic or something that will pop out and hit a metal cage etc..)
