Has anyone used the HDX 300 brushless adapter with the 4 in 1 on the blade? does it work well or is it better to get separates?

I bought the brushless motor adaptor kit from Heli-Direct for my CP.. Spent alot of time, and never got it to work - the main motor would not arm. The people at Heli-Direct were less than rsponsive to my requests for help. I know other people have had similar problems as I did, but they (Heli-Direct) act as though Mine is am isolated case. Although I have not heard this from Heli-Direct, I read that the earlier release of the adaptor modual had some bugs, latest version is better. I have since bought a 3in1 and 6 ch. receiver, and done away with the adaptor all together.

Just my $.02 worth.

A 4-in-1 hack would be more reliable. I had that setup with my CP2 4-in-1 without issues. I replaced that with a 3-in-1 only in preparation for my new radio.

If you are using the stock radio, match your motor kv and pinion to give you the correct head speed so that your throttle and pitch mixing are correct.

Turn on a dime. Flip like a quarter. Feel like a million bucks.

Ditos, Gino! The brushless adapter was a bust for me too. Servos went nuts and the thing would not arm. For me anyway,it was a total waste of time/$. Since I wasn't using the stock tx, I ended up just slaving the unused 4in1 channel for the BL ESC hook-up. That worked pretty slick.

were these older adapters i had heard they had problems but have since fixed them. i will try mine when my hdx300 outrunner shows up

I used mine for a while. It does some strange stuff like starting the main motor at close to half stick. It's better to do the hack or go with the 6 ch and 3-in-1 or like I have with seperate Gyro and esc for the tail. this was in the last 12 months so I would say new adapter

Any landing you can walk away from is a good one!
