Hi All,

Just finished my conversion of CH47A 1/35th Trumpeter plastic model kit and had first flights tonight -

I adapted the mechanics from an MS Composit Kit, designed new frames to fit inside the model kit which is very much smaller -

The chassis has a complex array of electronics including a TH2 Tandem controller, lighting controller and servo rate reducer for the rear ramp -

I am able to setup the chassis for flight then fit the body over the top, really pleased with the results and reckon this is the smallest flying CH47 around, I will post a video when weather gets better the rear ramp raising and lowering and the nav lights working make this a great scale model.

That is just awsome ,,, makes me want to get my MS out again.
Did you make your own blades or cut down the MS ones ????

Cheers, the blades where a real challenge as the Trumpeter kit is 65mm shorter between rotors than the MS CH46 kit. I have used some 'Plasti-Blades' originally for the Blade CP they are only 230mm long, being plastic I was able to make them fit the MS blade holders and trim them down in chord by 4mm

Wow, you have done an awesome job with it. I am a big Hooker at heart. I have worked on CH-47 for years and it is a great airframe. I am just getting into Helis now, after a good deal of TRex time. It would be cool to jump into a tandem heli. Great work on yours.

Very nice work. Always puts a smile on my face to see a scale micro heli born. Seeing that fantstic job makes me itchy to finish my scale project(Ikarus Airwolf fuse, Blade CPP mechanics). Can't wait to see the video of it flying and keep us posted
