<sigh>

Unfortunately, when guys like Jason or Todd, et al, do post here, they take a LOT of abuse. Most decide it just isn't worth it leaving all the forums and end up answering only private messages. Last post I saw from Jason was a rebuttal of something someone SAID HE SAID that had no relationship to anything he actually DID SAY. He left. Too bad as these guys have vast insight into what makes a model fly and how to solve problems.

As nice as it would be to have them here, it just isn't worth it to them to take so much slack on everything they say. I mean c'mon, some people expect them to be supermen or something and help set up 10 people's helicopters at the same time, while signing autographs, feeding the homeless, flying for the needy, saving the world and answering a billion questions and then afterwards told their wrong. Remember the whining about Jason Krause at that fun fly a while back, no wonder.

unfortunately whenever you reveal your true identity on a forum the abuse kicks in...

If you are of average ability you will be ridiculed by those beneath you who have low self esteem, if you are of excellent ability then you will be hassled and nagged by those wishing to learn, and abused by those who think someone else is better...

Its a sad part of human nature that some people find they can only feel better about themselves if they point out someone elses shortcomings...

Just go through this forum and read some of the crap that goes on here, bickering, fingerpointing, etc....

Can you blame them for not coming in here? It was embarrassing when Curtis came in here, most didn't even believe it was him... Jason got a belly full of it in a hurry and Todd posted maybe twice and slipped away.

They all probably read these forums but don't count on any of them posting here, it just isn't worth the problems that arise as a result.

I'd like to think that the big boys do come here and see what is going on. While it's true some people act stupid when the likes of Curtis show up. But as we see even on TV a celebrity gets harrased no matter what. When a person reaches that level they are an icon in the hobby and unfortunatly they are going to be the target for the lesser people.

None the less, it's a case of some bad eggs ruining it for all.

What a shame.

The quote above is old news. No one has been flamed off the site in months.

Maybe they are here..

Maybe they are here and have taken the time to answer questions. But under the profile of an average Joe, like you or me. I wouldn’t blame them, after all they stick out their nose as who they really are and get it bit off. I’ve e-mailed JK from a couple times with a question or two. He usually responds in a timely manner (if he’s not out of town).

It's not exactly highly unlikely that these people post under different names. For all we know NEMP5 could be Curtis!

I must agree that is sad. The ugly head of jealousy is not one of the seven deadly sins for nothing.

However, those very gifted folks also legitimately have their own instruction programs, i.e., they get paid to do the wild thing. Would you give away trade secrets?
