Wanted to know what you guys think of the Mini Cooper. It's a fun car to drive, rather affordable, has "unique" looks and is quickly becoming a "cult" just like the Mazda Miata. The "unique" look is the big factor here, what do you guys think of the looks? Would you guys own one as a first or a second car?

No room for my Fury, It would be good for the wife though.

Wrong!!

The Fury goes in the passenger seat.

I voted "I love it!" (for the kids).

Should be plenty of room for the Fury, the rear seats fold down...

AWESOME!!

Having a small baby and family, it is too small for my primary car. Anything smaller than a bus is too small for wife and her luggage. But if I had the money I would love to have one for a second car!!! They are pretty reasonable in price and look awesome!!! I voted I love it!

If you get one, can I drive it?

Well, that's my dilemma....Before the Z06 and the M3 I owned a Miata. I loved it because it was so much fun to drive at legal speeds, you could toss it into any turn, go into a "drift", keep it going around the turn sideways, recover and keep going...Try that at anything below 70 mph in a Vette or an M3....just hard to do, too much inherent stability/capability in those cars. Great for the track but not all that much fun at legal speeds. There is something about small, lightweight cars that are under 2500lb, they are so much fun to drive at legal speeds! I sold the Miata because at 6'2" and 205lb it was just a little tight....and "comical" looking. While all my friends have really enjoyed driving my Miata, they all mentioned that I look "out of place" driving a small car like that. One of my buddies fell in love with the Miata the first time he drove mine. He bought one a month later and went on to join 2 Miata clubs and 2 autoX point series. He won first place in both AutoX point series. He is now a die-hard Miata fan and AutoX champion while my Miata is long gone due to the fact that I felt "insecure" driving one. I know I would love the Mini Cooper S but I have to get over the "small car inferiority" complex....

One question...

Does it have two wheels, a track, or 4 wheel drive? If not, heck no!

I work too darn hard for my money to waste it on some trendy euro-trash pseudo-sports car with a "green house" roof.

If I had that much money to pi$$ away I'd have a new Fat Boy in the garage.

Hard to get a helicopter in one of these, let alone two women & a........

I have to admit the version with all of the M3 upgrades might be fun. Honestly they don't do that much for me. My girlfriend thinks that there is nothing cooler.
