Hello tandem modellers !

I have a small problem putting together the rotormasts, mainly one of them !

I start bolting the 3 blade head on top of the shaft first using the grubscrew going to the flat spot on the rotoraxle. Afterwards the bottom gear with not fit with the grubscrew to the decicated flat spot on the axle !!!

Both front and rear axle are the same , but it is likely that one of them should be shorter !!

What do I do wrong !

Check the collar on the top bearing, loosen it, then attach the gear, then readjust the collar to the given dimentions

If I fitt the gear on the front mast using the grubscrew and the lower flatspot together with the topcollar the distance to the rotorhead is too far meaning all the linkages will become too short.

I can easily do the adjustment correct, but aprox. 10 mm of the front axle comes out in the bottom at the gear meaning ofcourse that the gear is only fixed with a grubscrew without using the flat spot on the axle and this is what I do not like !!

I used a dremel and cutoff wheel to put a flat spot on the shaft after I got everything set where it needed to be. After you tighten everything down,remove the gear and put a flat spot on the shaft. The set screw will leave a mark on the shaft once you have tightened it down where you want it.
