Rudd DR/Throttle hold

I like everything about this radio. I have not missed my 9Z since I started flying the DX7. I really like the ease of programming. Although it has been said before, the one change I would like to see is fully assignable switches so as to free up the rudder DR/throttle hold switch. Other than that, it is a darn fine radio.

Sun was the first time I got to fly my Rappy 90 SE with the DX7, and all I can say was awesome. I have been flying an 8103 for 7 years now and the programming was the same for me. I put in the exact programming from my 8103 and had no trim changes. Was spot on. I love my DX7. As for some wanting more options,,, my take on this is, yea would be nice but for the price, you can't beat it.

DX9 Feature

I'd like to see glider/sailplane programming added, like Crow. maybe a slider for the throttle option instead of the normal throttle stick.

battery and switch harness wires...

to be in CLEAR Insulation with a coloured stripe and maybe ridged also. That way you will easily be able to inspect for damage, corrosion and the like. Well why not all the servo wires while you are at it. Even the little antennae?

That is a great idea. I hate that some lipos come in non-see through black shrinkwrap. I know I have punctured a TP prolite lipo under the heat shrink and the outside heat shrink went back to its normal flat state. If the heat shrink were not see through I wouldn't of even known about it.

All wires see through is a great idea. It could help sales too because people might be more inclined to replace equipment sooner if they notice some corrosion from the elements creeping inside the wires.

9303 Spektrum

Won't the imminent DSM2 package for your 9303 (or whatever XMTR you own) solve most of these problems?

Please do something about the training switch. It is way to cumberson to use during a extended time. Please use a toggle switch instead of the flat slider switch.

Backward compatible

I would love to have a DX9 that I could put my synthesized module in the back and run my 72MHz Rcvrs. I would want the speed of the DX9 when using the spread spectrum.

In regards to the antenna bending and breaking I put a little cone of silicone at the bases of the antenna. Also it would be nice to have a throttle cut. I currently use throttle hold while I am getting ready to fly so there are no accidents

Hi guys

There are lots of good ideas here.

What i would like added to the Rx is a ON/OFF relay. Plug the battery directly into the Rx and a switch directly into the Rx. There would have to be a relay switch within the Rx electronics. The relay setup should be closed circuit for Rx off. This would make switch failure a non event.

It would be like the Duralite regulator switch.

Regards

Paul

For me, and this is just me ranting:

Full set of configs for each mode, norm, idle1,2,hold
(config: d/r, expo, gyro, gov, pitc., thrc, mixes)

Throttle hold switch that doesnt take away from anothoer feature

I need a tail d/r switch, aileron d/r switch , (some might need elevator d/r switch)

I need 4 mixes that can be full time on, and not depend on a switch
(but enabled/disabled for each flight mode)

2 more mixes on switches

delay feature on pitch, throttle curve when changing modes.

throttle kill button
throttle lock button
(I lock it when adjusting radio and bird is on the pad idling)

9 chanels too, one for gov in menu

USB compatable so I can copy off my setups

ok, this is just what I need

For all those requesting a beep to aid in determining the mid point when setting up, the Pitch and throttle curves menu screen already shows you the IN and OUT figures.

50% in is center stick
50% out is servo centre

I found this is one of the most useful screens on my 9XII (9303) when setting up my heli's and i wouldn't buy another radio if it did not have it.

You had me worried as i'm about to buy a DX7 and had to check the manual to make sure it was there.

The trainer socket should be somewhere other than on the back, to stop the fear of squashing it when putting the radio down. This would be most useful when using the simulator, which must be the most common use of the trainer socket. Putting it on the top or side would be cool. It may also reduce the risk of gravity pulling the wire out when buddy boxing.

Case this has not been mentioned:

Can you also see about making the servo plug in deeper (case a little longer)...there is not enough bite on the plugs and seems they may pull out easily. If you guys are making some changes this would a good one too.

thanks
