The OS .21 isn't a very good motor, it's all top end and doesn't run well. RB came out with a new motor that's tested at about 3.2 at around 30,000 RPM. The offroad buggy motors are best because they're ported for torque and low end, the on road motors are all top end and would be useless in a heli. i'd love to see a little 3 pound heli with a 3.2 horse RB screaming along at 25,000. I think i might have to get one. The only problem is car motors are like airplane motors, the pipe runs parallel with the crankshaft. Someone would have to come out with some kind of adapter that would work with a tuned pipe.

Wow!... metal side frames.. the review I read said this was suppose to use G-10.... hmm.. pros and cons to each,,,, I see the problematic tail pitch lever is still around.. but still the machine looks nice....
Thanks for the pictures.... Keep us informed...

HHI is a joke.....

Sorry to say I hardly doubt they will match Hobbynets price. If they do they will charge an arm and a leg for spares. If they match Hobbynet all the way around, then I will by from them, but we'll see..

I didn't see an autorotation bearing in the pics. Not that you would want to practice autos on this thing but it would be a nice thing to have. Power-on fast descents would be much smoother with an auto bearing.

If this little Gem flies anywhere near as good as it looks quality wise, then Quick will have an absolute winner on their hand.

CK_ you are right about the autorotation bearing it hasn't got one but I am sure that it wil be a upgrade part, so if u want one you can get one.

Price

I would not expect this bird to go for less than $225-250.00.

I wouldn't get too pumped up about the $150.00 from the place over seas. You always can figure on at least $50.00 shipping from those guys for a heli.

That sounds a little more realistic.

I would not want to get pumped up about it being under $200.00 here in the states. Think of what a Voyager E costs and then look at all the metal parts on this heli.

I would shoot for around that price over here to start with.

frames ???

I don't understand....
Your side frames are aluminum, HHI says the frames are G-10.
Is the USA version different ?

Thanks, Chuck

Quickie 15 Differences.

The only difference between the US and JP versions is the G10 frames. All other components will be the same. In Japan, the G10 is an option part.

Guys: I must say that I was HHI today and got a good look at the Quick 15 and it is a great looking piece of machinery!

That's why I ordered one.

Time will tell how it holds up but from the looks of the quality of parts, I would guess that it will hold up quite well. It looks to be a little bigger than my Voyager E, but smaller than a Logo 10.

JonYuhas:

Do you think you could weigh the heli as it sits on your bench without the flight battery installed? Leave the servos and everything else on. I want to get a comparison to my Voyager.

Nice heli! The 50 looked great also!

Have you flown it yet? We have been trying to figure out some engine options for this little guy. I also am contemplating slapping a Hacker B40-8L motor on to see how it would compare to my Voyager E.

The problem that I see is the OS 15 CVA overheating. The buggy motors have nice heat sinks on them, but like Paul mentoned, they want to run at a pretty high RPM. I would be suspect of their power output in the lower RPM range?

Any thoughts?

Jim!

The CVA is an airplane motor. Whether it is the engine actually being used is another story.
