I just converted my Trex 450 to Spektrum. Am I correct in assuming the ferrite ring on the esc is no longer needed? Thanks.

That's correct. You don't need it.

I would just use it anyways, It will still work to filter out noise coming from the ESC. Going to Spektrum should not mean that we abandon best practices. That noise from the ESC may not cause a prob with the receiver, but can still cause issues with other components.

Just my opinion that even with Spektrum (I have a DX7 and 4 helis with it) we should still set things up as clean as possible. Toss the ring on there

I removed it when I went to Spectrum but started getting tail kicks, I put it back on and they stopped. The ESC was interfering with the gyro.

So now I continue to use them with all my ESC's.

Thanks for the input guys. I guess I'll keep it. At least until I get the model dialed in and have time to experiment a bit. When I do, I'll post the results here.

Took them off my Logo 14 when l went to Spektrum and have had no problems.
