Can you buy a blade cx and bind it to a DX7 without changing anything?

No bind plug is needed, the RX on the CX2 goes into bind mode momentarily during initialization, so as long as you push the bind button on the TX during that period, you're good.

Once bound, you will need to adjust the TX to control the heli properly. I'd start by selecting the model type as ACRO rather than heli, only 2 servos, one for aileron and one for elevator.

Don't for get to turn the throttle trim all the way down or the gyro will not initialize.
