| Question? Not trying to start some type of war here, but I have a serious question.
Has their quality improved?
I had a sport version and loved the way it built and flew, but after about 1 to 2 cases of use it started to wear very quickly. Without having ever being crashed it went through 3 main gears, 2 auto bearings, 2 counter gears, 2 horizontal fin mounts, 1 servo tray, most thrust bearings, 2 bearing blocks, etc.., etc.. The good news is, these parts are cheap, but I got tired of coming home from a day's flying and needing to rebuild the thing.
A good friend of mine purchased the Pro version at my recommendation, but after 3 weeks of parts failures, he gave up and went back to his prior heli brand. I felt bad about recommending the heli to him before I had given it a longevity test. If the 3-D version has improved parts quality it could be a real winner, but if not, I'll sacrifice a 1/2 pound and stay with something that lasts a bit longer. |
