Do you need to use a 3 wire switch between the RX and Batt?

I assume a 2 wire one would work but want to know for sure if someone has tried it..........

You need the three wire for "binding." Once that is done, you can use the two wire. The system will not bind without the three wire harness.

If that works, I stand corrected.

It does, I have a giant scale plane that I have setup on dual AR7000s, and didn't feel like buying new 3 wire switches, so I bound it with the plug in the batt slot and the battery in another.

While it works it's sure a lot more convenient to use 3 wire switches. Especially if you wrap your receiver.
