| Ok, I'll be totally honest and say that I think the CP is the worst peice of junk I have ever bought. However, after modifying it a little this afternoon, I am starting to like it. I bought a set of 325 PRO's and mounted them. They are a little tight, but I haven't shaved them at all, so that could be fixed. I had to lengthen the tail boom in order to avoid tail rotor collision. First, I bought a second tail boom and pieced it together with the original one for a test flight. It worked great until I dropped the machine into the living room floor, and then, well let's just say a one piece tail boom is the way to go. Luckily, I had a few used aluminum arrows out in the shop. A snip here, and a hole for the tail rotor mechanism there, and I was back in business.
All in all, the machine fly's 100% better. I am not sure if it will still do 3d...and I don't care. I like stable, realistic flight so 3d just isn't my thing.
So why align 325 pro's? Because they cost $13.00 a set, as opposed to the $40.00 they want for the blades that are made for the CP. I did the whole mod cheaper than I could have bought the aftermarket blades.
I just uploaded the pics in my gallery, so you can check them out as soon as they are made available. |
