Hey guys,

I've been surfing through all of the posts on here lately (reason for no posts) and i've noticed the trend of the absolute best mechanics wise helis are german. And i'd like opinions on the best of which I'm aware of from the germans are the 3DMP and the Revolution. Please enlighten me.

Thanks,

Dicey

well, I wouldn't label them as the best, but they have a certain craftmanship, and certainly unique in the states. The diamond heli (I forget the exact name), Mikado, Ikarus, Schulze, Hacker, Multiplex are (were originally) teutonic brands.

"Best" could mean parts availability, ease of maintenance, cost. Kind of like a honda vs other teutonic cars like bmw.

does the V-stabi and other creations of flybarless stabilizers using gyros essentially make the new RZK obsolete?

Its a general feeling of pride in your work that prevails in Germany. It doesn't matter much whether you are scrutinizing a model helicopter, a car, a curb, a loaf of bread, or a doorknob - it is evident everywhere you look. Can't wait to go back in April.

And yes I think Augusto must be part German!

You got me on that part but only,,, The German copters are precise and quality is good but complicated it's almost like they go out of their way to make it complicated. I fly a Rappy 90 why because it's cheap and it does the job if am gonna go for quality I also want a low parts count and no copter out there offered that until the Aurora. Have you seen the Diamond ( complicated ) this thing has two carbon rods just for the tail lever, true the machine is precise but the Aurora is precise have a low parts count and isn't complicated.
I'll put my money on the Aurora

Ah but the Joker (and acrobat) have the combination of both, They have the hi tech head (MFS) AND a low parts count, They also have less gears(belts instead) and all kinds of unique things, like counterweights on the tail blade grips. take a look HEREto find out more

P.S., I still have a rappy 50, and I agree that it is a good beater, no arguments there.

You are comparing electric and nitro, two different beast electric will always use less parts, on the Joker if you noticed they still managed to use a belt on the Motor most electric use pinion to main gear, anyways they are different.
