Well, when you refuel, we'll jump in on your spot. LOL

On a serious note, we will have a long flight for many guys to fly. I guess if it's real crowded, I hope no one would just hogged the flight line. If that does happen we will ask him or her to give others a chance to fly.

Spread Spectrum Radios at SRW event

dgshaffer

As the CD of this and other events at SRW, We will always have a pilots meeting at the beginning of the day. At previous events, Spread Spectrum Technology was not an issue because they could only be used for Park Flyers and TREX class Helicopters. Now that the DX7 is on the scene we will access the situation at the event and assure everyone gets equal flight time. We have no way of knowing just how many DX7s' will show up. Be assured that the DX7 nor any other Technology will dominate the flightline. Decisions will be made and communicated to all pilots at the pilot's meeting.
I'm looking forward to meeting you. I'm sure you will enjoy the event

I've usually crashed by the third tank

I was there last summer but didn't fly. I'll be there with gear in tow this time though.

I always say you guys have the best field around that I've been to. I only wish I lived a little closer.

Thanks for putting this on. See you soon!

dgshaffer,

Thank you for coming to our Fun-Fly in '06. The club is hosting the "Spool Up" in appreciation to the 85 of you who participated in the fun-fly....and, of course, to red_z06 who made the initial request here on RR.

IRCHA also has Spread Spectrum Concerns

IRCHA also has to come up with a solution for the Spread Spectrum Radio flight line control. Too bad we can't sit back to wait and see what they will do. Maybe our experiments will help them. We'll do whatever is fair and equitable

Fortune is on our side...Butch Wellmaker will be in for the Spool Up. Hopefully he will have completed his RAH-66, "The Duke" and, put it through it's paces at the Seaview Field, before the NATS and IRCHA.

Thanks Will,

I do have some bad news. Ro will not be there. She has a instructional glass art class that weekend from one of the best glass artist in the country. Its a technical application class and will help to get to the next level. However my friends, she did have second thoughts about going to the class. These classes are by invitation only and limited to 4 guest.

What is the best way to get to the field from GWB?
It looks like your webpage is still down. Try to contact rc-planes.us They host RC websites for free.

The SRW Club website site " FLYSRW.Com" should be up by next month.

Red,

We are located at Dreier Offerman Park, Brooklyn, NY.
Get off at Exit #5 - Bay Parkway Exit going east bound on the Belt Parkway and follow the service road. The park is on the right side a few blocks down. If you pass an off ramp (exit #6) on your left side, you just missed the Park Entrance on the right.

or Google - Dreier Offerman Park - on the map section and click satellite
