| Cool, thanks guys, I just won the auction on ebay. Bought a Predator Gasser for $305.00 all built including shipping. It of course is missing the engine and electronics...but other than that it is complete. If I don't get around to converting it, I will feel better flying my gasser knowing that I have a complete machine sitting in the garage just waiting for the engine and electronics(which hopefully would survive a crash so I could transfer them). Anyway, I am even more excited now about the project and am leaning towards getting it started right away as soon as the machine arrives. I know that stuff changes every day...so I am up to suggestions as to what I might need for a motor, esc, and battery pack. I plan on running 2 packs with some sort of switch(possibly controlled by a servo) that will allow me to switch batteries while in flight(hopefully doubling my flight time). I probably would swing something in the 700 range for blades, not sure if the machine I bought has the longer tail, if it does I might try swinging the 810-850 range. |
